1993
Iron Grip introduces the first and only weight plate with integrated handgrips and a unique 12-sided anti-roll design.
1996
Iron Grip grows rapidly with the introduction of their heavy-duty Solid Steel line of dumbbells and fixed barbells.
1996
Iron Grip develops a unique and innovative Urethane coating for Olympic plates.
1997
Iron Grip expands their line with urethane-encased dumbbells and fixed barbells.
1999
Iron Grip begins offering its cutting-edge CNC engraving process for customizing plates and dumbbells.
2000
Iron Grip debuts the Group Strength® line of free weight equipment for group fitness classes.
2003
Now the largest provider of commercial free weight equipment worldwide, Iron Grip celebrates its ten year anniversary in the commercial fitness industry.
2004
Iron Grip announces the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Santa Ana, California.
2006
Iron Grip unveils its newly designed line of exclusively American-made Hard Chrome Olympic Bars.
2006
Iron Grip completes the final segment of a three-phase expansion to their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, now totaling over 43,000 square feet.
2007
Iron Grip introduces the Competition Series Needle Bearing Olympic Bar, built exactly to IWF specs. By manufacturing this bar exclusively in their own factory in the US, Iron Grip succeeds in producing a competitively priced bar that rivals the best Olympic lifting bars on the market.
2010
Iron Grip redesigns its Urethane free weight line. The new rugged, textured urethane finish is designed to reduce the appearance of wear and tear. The newly improved dumbbell features a heavy-duty handle with ends that widen to a beefy 1-3/4'', which also helps position the user's hands comfortably in the center.
2012
To keep pace with increasing demand, Iron Grip continues the expansion of their US-based production and warehouse facilities, adding a substantial amount of factory space and high-tech equipment.
2013
Iron Grip celebrates 20 years in the fitness industry, with 50 million pounds of urethane free weight equipment shipped, and over 450,000 urethane dumbbells and fixed barbells built.
2015
Iron Grip grows its operations in Southern California to encompass more than 100,000 square feet across several facilities.
2018
Marking 25 years of expertise in the industry, Iron Grip expands production to Texas. With operations spanning more than 150,000 square feet, our facilities contain advanced welding, machining, molding, and engraving equipment, together with headquarter offices, R&D facilities, and warehouse space.
